Cuddle up with Roadkill???!!!
OK, so Aimee has been has been giving me a hard time about not writing, so I’ve finally resolved myself to do so. I was inspired by something I saw at Cracker Barrel the other night. Seriously, how cool is Cracker Barrel? I mean, shopping while you wait for your food? SO COOL. Anyway, I was looking around at some of the toys and stuffed animals, and there staring me right in the face was a stuffed toy opossum!!! EW…Are you kidding me? It’s like, “Here, have this nice, sweet, cute, cuddly—roadkill?!” Gross! So disgusting! That creeps me out now; it would have scarred me for life as a child! EEEEEEEWWWWWWW…
Anyway, my beautiful little niece was born Thursday, Oct. 6. She is so precious; just like her mommy, my beautiful baby sister. My husband is so smitten! We both have “baby fever,” but are only just now getting ready to celebrate our first anniversary. We are praying for a child when the time is right; and only God knows when that will be. So, in the meantime, we spoil everyone else’s children and send them home with their parents to take care of the dirty work! HA!

Way to get involved and help out in my absence!!! That is sick, but I am afraid Taine would disagree with you on the greatness of Cracker Barrel and especially the shopping part.
Anyway, you are right about Juliana. She is beautiful and makes you want on of your own, hence my scheduled kidnapping of Dylan tomorrow. We are going to have so much fun, and the best part is I get to give him back at the end of the day.

Well, Cracker Barrel does have its flaws–the one in Montgomery is really dirty and the service is bad; but really, that’s characteristic of most places in Montgomery. And, when we went the other night in Columbus, they were out of chicken & dumplings which was so not cool because that was why we had chosen to go there! In their defense, though, it was, like, an hour before closing on a Saturday night, and my vegetable plate was good. Unfortunately, I’m still craving dumplings…Wes likes Cracker Barrel OK because he can get a full breakfast there; and let’s be realistic–it’s not like I’m cooking him a big full breakfast anytime soon, unless we have it for dinner! He hates the shopping part; even though he gets over in the corner and plays with all the little vintage toys and games…
Oh, you are so lucky! A fun day with Dylan! I’m going to see Juliana tonight! Can’t wait! Babies rock…
Seriously, I immediately thought of you when I saw that opossum because I knew that only you would completely grasp my utter disgust. It was super creepy…

I have got your back with the opossum hatred. I actively try to hit them all the time, squirrels too. It is no wonder Taine and Wes get along so well. Taine love the breakfast, hates the shopping, and goes there only because there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell I am getting up to cook him a full breakfast, ever. Dylan was soooo much fun! You should be jealous….

I’m so totally jealous; but, Juliana was fun even though a 5-day-old doesn’t do much. I took “Maurice and Therese” to read, but I couldn’t because I was so distracted by just wanting to look at her! She is so pretty!!!
Meanwhile, I don’t try to hit an opossum or squirrel just because I don’t want to get “Princess Josephine’s” feet dirty. LOL
