In Memory of Father Michael William Labadie
Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Faustin Weber’s Catholic Educator Tribute
I knew Michael almost my entire life; we grew up together. Being part of a relatively small Catholic community, we ended up going to grade school, high school and even college together. I can’t say we were ever BFF or anything like that, but I can say he truly inspired me. He made me want to be a better person and especially a better friend. He was a natural teacher with an unbelievable thirst for knowledge. There was no point in arguing with him because he was almost always right, and you knew it. When he told me about his calling and that he had decided to enter the seminary, I was thrilled and excited for him. He became an amazing priest and possessed an unbelievable way with words. You should have heard his sermons! He was an extraordinary gift to us all, and I was not only lucky but honored to call him “friend”. -Aimee
