On the lamb: My potentially bogus theory on Veronica Mars Season 2

WARNING: Don’t read unless you really want to know. This is based on spoilers, pure speculation on my part and years of figuring out all or part of TV shows, meaning it is highly flawed and incomplete, but it just might be right. Hey, there is always a chance…

So everyone has a theory, most involve Duncan being the one leaving after twelve episodes. Now we’ve heard the departing character will make some of us sad, be “shocking” and be storyline indicated (which may or may not involve death). We also know Meg survived for a reason and she has some pretty big secrets to hide. What we don’t know is if or how these things tie together. Now I don’t pretend to have all of the answers, and I certainly haven’t wrapped up the season long mystery, but I do think I know where these two stories might be headed. I have been reading specualtion that Meg is pregnant and Duncan goes to see her everyday because he knew or somehow figured it out. To be fair I have also read she might have had an abortion, but I don’t think so. Clearly she was hoppin’ mad at Veronica and I am willing to bet there was something more to the story than just harmless psycho boyfriend swapping. Given next week’s storyline, I am thinking Meg is the victim of abuse and possibly even incest (at the very least she recognized it in others). Today I read some of the newest sides posted at NowCasting.com. Rob Thomas has said he and his writing crew are hip to us spolier hunters and thus sometimes change the names of characters on scripts to avoid big spoilers getting out. Anyway these particular sides involved a search for “Wallace” and a baby in an episode entitled “Donut Run”. Which got the old wheels turning and me thinking, what if the speculation is right and Meg is preggers (whether it is Duncan’s or not is immaterial as long as Duncan think he is the father) and Duncan steals the baby to save it from her father? Complete bullshit? Probably, but I guess we will have to wait until January to find out. That being said, I would rather be wrong and see crazy, unpredictable, highly unstable Duncan go out in a maniacle blaze of glory as opposed to vanishing for a noble cause, but hey, I don’t write this stuff.

Are you kidding me?! I am so not reading this; BUT, it’s about to kill me not to.–Still not gonna!!!

Hark, she’s alive!!!! And speaking!!!! I am still waiting on answers to at least 2 of my e-mails.

I knew you didn’t want to know, so I resisted the urge to call and tell you. I just wrote it here in case I am right, then I am on record as having predicted something correctly.

I sooooooo called the Sam twist on Reunion, but I liked it anyway. As an added bonus I got to hear Taine say I was right!!

  3. Weezie Says:

I SO totally did too, but I had no one to share it with. Emilie Cooper sucks and isn’t cool enough to watch Reunion with me. I can’t believe she turned her back on JJ. Well, at least we know now who really loves him! LOL Also, to me it made since that she’d be the dead one moreso than anybody else once we accounted for Craig.
I responded in the comments on here a couple of days ago and was wondering why you hadn’t said anything! The only thing I think I have forgotten to answer is that no, I have not gotten the VM soundtrack yet. Life is so unfair…haha

  4. Aimee Says:

It is great, you should get it ASAP. Maybe I will help you out and send it to you. I can’t wait to see if we have the same favorite tracks.

  5. Aimee Says:

Also where did you write about the Blessed Virgin Mary talking to Mimi???

  6. Weezie Says:

OH YEAH…oops! I totally forgot about that one–I saw part of the show the day after when she walked into the loft with this goofy look on her face while the baby was crying and just picked her up. So lame…I’ll try to remember to check Sunday night on SoapNet so I can see it, but I’m afraid I don’t want to. Meanwhile, have I already expressed my frustration with the fact that they named that baby Clare??? First they took Emma on Friends so the whole world would name their kid Emma, now Clare? Back off my baby names, people! LOL
I’m sure we will have the same favorites–isn’t that what always happens?

  7. Aimee Says:

I am feeling you on the baby names, soon all that will be left is names for whores or grandmas!

Yes, we do share a brain, and an incredibly witty one at that…

BTW-what did you think of Ponyboy on last night’s ER? The years have not been kind; course it didn’t help that he was guest starring on the same episode as Uncle Jesse.

  8. Weezie Says:

OK, so the Blessed Mother was talking to Mimi about “never getting a man” if she didn’t quit feeling sorry for herself? Yeah, I’m so sure that’s what the Blessed Mother would say. Also, Wes said, “Did the Blessed Virgin Mary just say ‘You don’t get any do-overs in life’?”
    I’m rendered speechless…
